Large Vintage Chinese Rose Medallion Famille Rose Porcelain Fish Bowl Jardinière with Wood Stand
Impressive large-scale Chinese porcelain fish bowl or jardinière featuring richly detailed Rose Medallion / Famille Rose decoration. The exterior is covered with colorful figural courtyard scenes surrounded by elaborate floral, bird, butterfly, and botanical motifs in traditional pink, green, red, and gilt tones. Multiple decorative borders and medallion-style reserves create the densely ornamented appearance characteristic of Rose Medallion porcelain.
The wide rolled rim continues the intricate floral decoration, while the interior is also decorated with painted floral and botanical motifs. Its substantial size makes this an especially striking floor-standing decorative piece.
