An intriguing historical connection: This piece was acquired from a Fort Myers, Florida estate and accompanied by a handwritten note reading “Attocha (Boat), Head Board Bedroom, Porta Rica.” The note suggests a possible association with a vessel or shipboard bedroom furnishing, although its exact origin, age, and original purpose remain unverified.
