Antique Limoges France Hand-Painted Porcelain Jardinière with Figural Scene & Gilded Accents
This is a stunning large antique Limoges France porcelain jardinière, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, beautifully hand-painted with a pastoral scene of two children under a blossoming tree. The reverse side features delicate floral sprays with butterflies and bees, all executed in fine detail with soft pastel hues and raised enamel highlights.
The scalloped rim is trimmed in gold, with turquoise accent panels at the corners. The piece rests on four ornate turquoise “jewel” feet with gilt framing, set into a custom bronze-toned base. The interior is glazed white, showcasing the fine porcelain quality.
The underside bears a partially visible Limoges France mark featuring stars and an anchor, consistent with high-quality French porcelain from this era.
