Description
Early 20th-century oak secretary desk featuring attractive quarter-sawn oak grain throughout. The slant/drop-front opens to create a generous writing surface and reveals a fitted interior with multiple letter cubbies, open compartments, and a small center drawer.
The desk is raised on slender shaped legs joined by a distinctive lower display shelf. A full-width drawer beneath the writing compartment provides additional storage and is fitted with clear glass knobs. The shaped gallery along the back adds to the period character.
The warm golden-brown finish highlights the strong oak figuring, particularly across the large drop-front panel. A practical antique piece that works well as a writing desk, entryway secretary, or decorative storage piece.
