Original watercolor and ink cityscape depicting a lively urban park with mature trees, pedestrians, classical statuary, and a skyline of historic and modern buildings in the background. The loose architectural sketching, bright washes of blue, green, ochre, and red, and unfinished edges give the work a mid-century/late-20th-century plein-air character.
The composition includes a reclining lion sculpture at left and additional figural monuments throughout the park. Signed by the artist at the lower right and apparently dated 1980. Presented under glass with a muted salmon/peach mat and narrow metallic frame.
