Mid-century lidded porcelain trinket or vanity dish marked “Gold Castle Japan.” Hand-decorated with a vibrant chintz-style floral pattern over a yellow leaf background. Scalloped edge lid and bowl form. Produced circa 1945–1955 in postwar Japan. Excellent example of export porcelain from the Kutani region.
