$125.00 USD

Beautiful late-Victorian English covered serving dish / vegetable tureen by Henry Alcock & Co., Staffordshire, England.

The piece features a dramatic deep cobalt-blue ground accented with hand-painted floral decoration in orange, green, and gilt. Ornate molded borders and extensive gold detailing surround the lid and body. The lid is especially unusual, topped with a raised cherub/putto-form finial, giving the piece a highly decorative Victorian appearance.

The underside bears the faded Henry Alcock & Co. England – Parisian Porcelain maker's mark. Henry Alcock produced Parisian Porcelain and other export wares for the American market during the late 19th century.
