
Antique M.Z. Austria hand-painted portrait plate, “Contance” pattern, pink rose border, circa 1890–1918
This elegant antique porcelain portrait plate was produced by the Moritz Zdekauer factory in Altrohlau, Austria, between 1890 and 1918. The central image features “Contance,” a romantic Edwardian beauty rendered in fine detail with soft pastel tones. Surrounding the portrait is a lush border of pink and purple roses against a cream background, accented with delicate gilt trim.
The reverse bears the green M.Z. Austria double-headed eagle mark along with the hand-painted pattern number “9501.” This mark confirms authentic late 19th–early 20th century production.
