uthentic Imperial German Prussian Pickelhaube helmet, dating to the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1895–1915). This is a genuine enlisted soldier example, featuring the iconic spiked silhouette and Prussian eagle plate with “FR” (Friedrich Rex) crest.
Constructed from hardened black leather with metal fittings, this helmet was standard issue for Prussian infantry prior to and during the early years of World War I. The original spike top, front plate, and hardware are all present, showing honest age and patina.
The interior retains its original leather liner (now heavily worn and fragile) along with a visible size stamp (approx. 57), consistent with period manufacture. The interior crown still has its original metal mounting plate, further supporting authenticity.
This piece has not been restored or altered—what you see is true, untouched condition, which is preferred by collectors.
