Surrounding the center is a wide decorative border embellished with larger dimensional pink and burgundy roses, finely detailed leaves, and intricate gold floral latticework.
The elaborate gold accents extend across the border, rim, and two gracefully shaped side handles, giving the piece a luxurious appearance reminiscent of traditional Japanese decorative porcelain.
The underside retains its original green manufacturer's backstamp, featuring a laurel wreath and diamond-shaped emblem, along with the words “Hand Painted Japan.”
