Antique American silverplate covered jar by the Derby Silver Company of Derby, Connecticut, dating to the early 20th century. Constructed of heavy copper with quadruple silver plating, featuring an ornate Art Nouveau–influenced floral repoussé lid and raised decorative border. Marked “Derby Silver Co – Quadruple Plate” on the underside. Originally used as a biscuit jar or table server, also suitable today as an elegant decorative or storage piece. Retains warm aged patina with honest wear consistent with age.
