Antique mahogany vanity or dressing table by Forest Furniture Co. of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, retaining its original manufacturer’s paper label.
This substantial vanity features a large shaped center mirror flanked by two narrow adjustable side mirrors, creating a classic tri-fold dressing mirror arrangement. The mirror frame and base are richly detailed with carved and applied wood ornament, including floral and scroll motifs, shaped cresting, decorative apron work, and turned front legs.
The desk-style base provides multiple drawers on each side with an open kneehole center. Ornate period-style metal pulls, tassel-form accents, carved drawer fronts, and a deep reddish-brown mahogany finish give the piece a strong 1920s–1930s Colonial Revival / Jacobean Revival character.
The large mirror, decorative woodwork, and original Forest Furniture Co. label make this a desirable early 20th-century bedroom piece.
