Authentic vintage Griswold cast iron skillet, marked with the iconic Large Block Logo and produced in Erie, Pennsylvania during the 1930s. Griswold is one of the most respected names in American cast iron cookware, known for its superior casting quality and beautifully machined cooking surfaces.
This skillet is marked “Cast Iron Skillet – Erie PA., U.S.A.” with the Griswold cross logo, size No. 5, and pattern number 724A.
Griswold skillets were traditionally sand cast and then machine polished, creating the smooth cooking surface that collectors and chefs appreciate. The pan offers excellent heat retention and develops a naturally non-stick seasoning with use.
