Antique French Rococo Revival Solid Bronze Hall Lantern Chandelier with Beveled Glass Panels
Substantial and impressive antique hall lantern chandelier crafted in heavy solid bronze, executed in the Rococo Revival taste with richly cast acanthus leaf and scroll ornamentation throughout.
This is not a lightweight reproduction. The fixture is exceptionally heavy with thick cast bronze components, deep relief detailing, and natural verdigris patina consistent with age. The multi-panel lantern body features beveled glass panels that catch and reflect light beautifully, adding dimension and presence when illuminated.
The form follows classic 18th-century French design influence — elaborate crown, scrolling arms, applied floral mounts, and a central multi-candle cluster. It has been electrified and currently houses candelabra-style bulbs, making it ready for modern installation while retaining its period character.
This type of fixture was traditionally used in grand entry halls, stairwells, and formal interiors. It makes a strong architectural statement and works equally well in historic homes, high-ceiling coastal properties, or refined commercial spaces.
