Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Covered Box – Court Scene with Gilt Handle, Republic Period Mark
$95.00 USD
Rectangular porcelain covered box decorated in the traditional famille rose palette, featuring courtly figures in pavilion scenes surrounded by peonies, butterflies, and scrollwork. The lid is topped with a gold-tone knob finial. The underside bears a red seal mark in archaic script, a Qianlong six-character apocryphal mark, common on mid-20th-century Republic period export porcelains.
Hand-painted in enamel colors with detailed figural and floral elements on all sides. The piece reflects the popular rose medallion style produced in Jingdezhen and Canton workshops for export markets.
Approx. size: 6" L × 4" W × 4" H.
